When Tom Lock was born in August 1871 in Dublin, Georgia, his father, John, was 44 and his mother, Loucie, was 33.

 

He had 13 children with Katherine Louise Johnson in 1897. He died in 1953 at the age of 82.

The 1900 census lists Katherine as the mother of 3 children, 1 living. That child as far as we know, was Alice.

 

Thomas and Katherine went on to have 13 more children during the course of their marriage.

 

The dates of their deaths are unknown.

 

Thomas Locke's 1900 census is also the first time that the Lock name carried the "e" at the the end.
